The New Project by Glass Lozano and Nik Heyl

Glass Lozano asked the first few people that wanted to hear early mixes of the album to send in their email addresses..A selection of 5 for the new song "Blackbird" and 3 for "Challengers." -including a person from the UK. Glass is working with Nicholas Heyl (Stupid Human Suit), and the Meric brothers (Stasis of Seasons, The Royal Space Merics) on the album. The album will be mastered by Maor Appelbaum. The first person to hear early mixes of the new Underwater Canyons album was Jarrett Brown..He goes back all the way to 2003 when Chris and Glass were in the band IOF. If Underwater Canyons is the continuation of IOF..than so be it..8 years later, this creature rises from the abyss..




Underwater Canyons is now a 94.5 The Buzz band and iHeartradio artist..and is being streamed
to 350+ radio stations and websites throughout the country.

Calling all artists!

A contest has been underway posted in Conceptart.org for the design aspect for the album..A selection of graphic designers and artists will accompany and collaborate with the illustrations and graphic design of Dark Rabbit Studios. THE MAKING OF UNDERWATER CANYONS

GLASS LOZANO AND NIK HEYL: FROM THE GLASS PROJECKT TO UNDERWATER CANYONS

In the summer of 2005, Glass released his first album- "Ghost Signature", which did well in the Colorado area and received air play gaining the attention of trip hop/breaks producer Tobi Love. http://www.shejay.net/artistDetail.php?userID=2818. Glass went to form an electronic project The Lab Animals with Tobi Love and sing lead vocals for Ft Collins Three Second Echo with Kody Slusher and A. J. Gramata until the fall of 2007. During this time, The Glass Projeckt showed signs of forming with Link Talley and Dj Delirio coming on board for a short time and plans were made to re-release "Ghost Signature" as "Ghost Signature Club Mix" -however, the members of the band were scattered all over Colorado and forming the group had incredible obstacles to over come. Glass and Toph Short would find a musical chemistry again in a short tenure with Ben Janzens band Fairwell/Stasis of Seasons and find his way again to radio with the single "Echo of Silence." Glass did work and played a show at Cervantes with keyboardist Gary Slaughter of The Vergers ex member of Velvet Acid Christ. Playing his last show in Denver, Glass moved back to Houston and took time to write and reflect over his time spent in Colorado for almost four years writing 12 volumes. During this time Glass played lead guitar with a local punk band The Ikari rubbing shoulders with Vatos Locos. He did keyboard work in the industrial group Oneness Darkness which led him to local producer and guitarist Irron R. Collins IV. In early 2008, after creating a few EP's: "Piano Death Sessions and Amore" in 2007 and doing a collaboration with Tripnotic, Glass began working on his second album "Phobia" joining forces with Littleton Colorado's Nicholas Heyl of Stupid Human Suit. However, the origins of Phobia began in 2006 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. It was during this time, that Glass purchased Protools and began to transition over from his Line 6 interface he used to record "Ghost Signature." Nicholas and Glass would find an incredible chemistry as songwriters and arrangers as they began to work on tracks: "Neglect", "Ash", "Kings and Queens" a cover of The Cranberries "Zombie" and later "Trip Inside My Head" The duo forged a new alliance to do an ep and would bring in additional help from Irron R. Collins IV, Tobi Love and the shadowy-Technodrone adding her prowess with her work on Deus Ex. From this nucleus, the duo decided they should begin looking for a producer to help produce "Phobia." In this experimental stage finding a balance between acoustic, darkwave and industrial rock, Glass would add to his songwriting software Reaper and cut a dozen or so rough ideas and displayed them on Reverb Nation and Myspace. During this time he did keyboard work for Black Queen Speaks and lead vocals for The Apostles..Glass left the music scene in 2011 to begin concentrating on his new
project and album..The Glass Projeckt would eventually become Underwater Canyons.

Transmissions:

The first ideas for Underwater Canyons was written when Glass was with The Apostles..debuting Challengers at a sound check..the album concept loosely titled Cardinal Points..these ideas, would never see the light of day with the band..they parted ways before these new songs could be brought to life..and so cultivated like a pearl many months would pass..the nucleus of ideas. May they rest in peace in their Underwater Canyons..a name given to honor Glass' departed loved ones..The song Leaves would be the first Underwater Canyons song..performed at his grandmothers funeral -written for her. He would learn that she would request that he sing at her funeral..He went back into hiding after requesting a rosary that was owned by her..into hiding to mourn..to rest..7 deaths. It was a difficult season..He wondered if the storm would pass..the death of his grandma, brought the end of The Glass Projeckt as a whole splitting in twain, birthing the new creature from the deep..It had begun in volume 10 THE DAY OF THE SUBMARINE..Glass' 12 volumes that ended with NARROW WINDOWS..he struggled..with his software a computer break down..transferring a massive amount of writing from the computer to print was no easy task..the taxing and weighty cost of ink cartridges that ran out before he wanted them to..He found out how trivial it was to store data in databases..ones that would not translate easily to paper..loosing your way, feeling in the dark..finally the task was complete..

If you've stumbled upon this, many volumes have been written since 2007, to reflect, to collect his thoughts..to build this database..after completing a 9 year journey in Colorado..trips back and forth..there was a time of rest...of writing..The Moth has not been writing, but has been sitting pondering..not writing to entertain..the last issue from his hand was the collected notes of Exos Animus, published, and entered into the Volumes and sent out to a few..30 or more pages..the rest of the time was wondering when the machine would be back up and operational..A dormant period of 8 years was far too long not to write music...and Glass sat in much pain as he endured these hardships..wondering when he could write again..to record..The process would begin in 2006 writing for Three Second Echo now Wake The Pilot and carry over into when Glass made forays into the Houston underground..one song brought to light TRIP INSIDE MY HEAD ..originally written as keyboardist for Black Queen Speaks..not so, it becomes the framework for the new project..His mind was splitting in half and one would fall to the way side as the other took its place..TRIP INSIDE MY HEAD, LEAVES,ALLIE,MAGAZINE,E PLURIBUS UNUM,CHALLENGERS,BLACKBIRD..these were the new songs..Glass looked over at a coffee mug while his girlfriend was gone to a medieval event..A blackbird with a silver eye..It seemed to know more than he did..The song flooded his pores at one glance..E PLURIBUS erupted at a graphic design session, trying to answer the riddle in his mind..this design would unlock the song..



Underwater Canyons can be just as metaphorically as it is exact..the imagery is said to evoke deep emotions in the artist..it helps him to release the torrent within him..the years of isolation, of study..the contemplation of life and the depth of the net..DIMITRI SPANOA'S PORTAL TO THE DEEP NET could be the gateway..however regulated..He unravels on stage..the heat of the light the strangers faces..but it is his music that is so well received by the Apostles fans...they asked what happened? He is gone..the members of the group don't see the same vision.. He is gone with his music intact.. It was BERLIN it was DETOUR it was SILENCER..the different eras -the different ages..It was PHOBIA..the 2nd Glass Projeckt album, but it has only become the songs again..Underwater Canyons is this deep underground journey..the pin holes that share that he is a real artist..he is trapped in a maze of horrors..CHALLENGERS was a dream that he had..he sat at a seat looking into a mirror. He was confident..13 or 14 huge beings came in and surrounded him..they meant great harm and destruction...he had a message for them...as he awoke from cryogenia..the demons in his mind..he had a song for them..he tore into the unknown telling the story..not knowing the outcome..

If you return, maybe you will see more. A BEACON HAS BEEN SENT OUT INTO THE DEPTHS.

A microscope is pointed to a tiny droplet of water. It is then magnified to reveal this mysterious nano-technology at work..In these infested waters, two ships are about to collide..."Guys can you hear me?!!" is the only transmission left from one of these two ships...it remains a ghostly echo as one slips away and the other breaks apart at the molecular level..

We'd like to announce the release of our new music video animation for "Archane" and "Gehenna Revisit 114." This short-film is packed with goodies beginning with "Archane." "Gehenna" was originally written by Gary Slaughter and crew AKA Stone Soup Soldiers in 2011 and set to video animation. At one minute and fourteen seconds into their song, Glass, inspired by the NASA footage, revisited the Mars Lander entry with his own sc-fi version set to this underwater disaster. Revisit 114 is featured in the second half of this video. We've spent quite amount of time building these diatomic machines for this epic mini saga.. When left to their own devices, these automata behave remarkably like tiny zoo-plankton. Thanks to Physion for providing the right game physics and animation properties to realize this short film. The main transparent ship features the illustration, as its skin, "She Seldom Seeks the Beauty at the Surface." Glass has spent almost 60 hours on his new mechanical pencil illustration. What are we doing? A lot of experimentation! The only way to describe the visual aspect of Underwater Canyons is to be taken into the world itself..It breathes it moves..it is alive!

We hope you've been enjoying the music videos and animation..this is one step in the right direction! Blender is a fantastic rendering program for 3d music and animation. We're getting our feet wet in video editing, experimental design, and architecture. Our first efforts have been somewhat crude, but each day we see leaps and bounds moving forward. The past few weeks have been a fascinating journey into the world of particle physics and automata machine design. We'll have more to share soon.
